New pastor at Christ Community Church

Jordan Embree was installed as the new pastor of Christ Community Church (CCC) in Blaine during the morning church service on March 1. Embree succeeds the former pastor, Lon Graham, who accepted an offer to pastor a church in Tyler, Texas at the end of 2018. CCC has been pastored for the last year by interim pastor David Van Boven.

Embree moved to northern Whatcom County in 2018 from South Carolina with his wife Leah and their sons Haddon and Knox. Leah practices medicine as a medical doctor at the Birch Bay Family Care Network clinic. Their family recently grew with the birth of their third son, Ryle.

A 2011 graduate of University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota, Embree’s B.A. was in youth and family studies. His education continued through 2016 at Northwestern in the master of arts in biblical studies and master of divinity programs.

Both Jordan and Leah are eager to become acquainted with the greater Blaine community and the surrounding communities of Birch Bay, Lynden and Custer. They wish to invite all visitors to weekly Sunday morning worship services at 11 a.m. CCC’s address is 4310 H Street, Blaine.
