BP Cherry Point Refinery employees answered questions and explained the refining process at a September 28 open house at the refinery at Jackson Road.
BP Cherry Point refines about 225,000 barrels of crude oil a day into various fuels and petroleum products. The open house was staged in a tent outside the refinery with a series of informational posters and demonstrations.
Busses brought guests into the refinery to tour a shop building and see the rest of the refinery from the bus.
