John Olaf Swobody, beloved father, son, brother, papa and husband passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 in the presence of family and friends.

John was born Dec 7, 1963 in San Pedro, CA to Deloris (Hagen) and Donald Swobody. He married the love of his life Annette on October 4, 1995.

He started in the fire service as a volunteer in 1984 with Fire District 13 and served from 1984-1999 before being hired as a career firefighter. He was promoted to Training Captain in 2006 and Training Chief in 2007. He also served as an Operations Chief in 2011.
