Larry Rae Richardson, 71, of Birch Bay, WA, passed away July 12, 2018. Larry was born in Bellingham, WA on March 10, 1947 to Robert “Bob” and Marceille Richardson. Larry is survived by his older brothers Ron Richardson of Bellingham and Don Richardson of Bellingham, his younger sister, D’Linda Laird of Bellingham and his children, Amy Gray, David Richardson, Philip Richardson, and Bekah Williams. Larry has three grandchildren, Sierra Gray, Skagit Williams and Marley Williams.
Larry graduated from Bellingham High School in 1966. He was a decorated Army veteran who served three tours in the Vietnam War. Larry was awarded several medals, including a Purple Heart and 4 Bronze Stars for his exemplary service as a Sergeant in the Army.
Larry will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Tahoma, WA with full military honors on Friday, August 3 at 10:30 a.m. A service for family and friends will be held Saturday, August 4 at 2 p.m. at the American Legion #86, 4580 Legion Dr. Blaine, WA. 98230.
